VoiceThread is an asynchronous communication tool used to spark conversation over a particular piece of media. Students and professors use commenting features such as audio comments, webcam comments, and other types as well to have a discussion regarding what they are looking at within the Voicethread. This application is wonderful for talking about the syllabus of a course, viewing PowerPoints and asking questions via commenting, sharing video and thoughts on a specific part of it, and much more.
VoiceThread integrates seamlessly with Moodle, but you can also access VoiceThread directly from your Google Apps menu that is located in the upper right corner of your email inbox. To access it click on the grid:
Then scroll all the way down to the bottom until you see the VoiceThread icon:
