Oracle Employee Self Service Training Guide: Setting Up Tuition Remission

In this article we will discuss how to set up tuition remission.

1. Before you begin this process, if you are planning to submit a tuition remission request for your spouse or child, please make sure they are added under your contacts. You can do this by either adding them as contacts under the Family and Emergency Contacts tile under Personal Information or from within the Benefits icon under Before You Enroll. 

2. From the Me tab on the Oracle home page, navigate over to the Quick Actions menu and click Show More

 

3. From the list, find the section entitled Compensation and choose Manage Personal Contributions.

 

4. On the Personal Contribution page, click Add 

5. Under the Plan drop down menu, choose Tuition Remission

6. Under the Option drop down menu, choose who you are submitting the tuition remission request for. In this example, we will choose Self. 

 

7. Once you make your choice from this list, you will be asked to enter all of the necessary information including:

  • Start Date - By default the calendar will display thevcurrent date. Select the required start date by clicking on the calendar icon.
  • Academic Year – Enter the Academic Year.
  • Semester – select the semester from drop down.
  • Number of courses – Enter the number of courses.
  • Number of credits – Enter the number of credits.
  • Student GPA – Enter the Student GPA.
  • Program or Major – Enter Program or Major name.
  • Comments – Enter any comments or remarks.
  • Add any necessary attachments

8. After entering in your details, click OK. 

 

9. From the Personal Contribution page, click Continue 

10. Enter in any necessary comments in the box. 

11. Click Submit in the upper right hand corner. 

Your request will be submitted for HR approval. 

Once your request is approved, it will reflect in your Personal Contribution section under My Compensation
